Chitwan won Pokhara Premier League

Chitwan Rhino has won the Pokhara Premier League title. In the final on Saturday, Chitwan defeated the Biratnagar Titans by 32 runs.


Following a huge target of 203 runs, the fraternity lost only 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and managed to make 170 runs.

He had a bad start. Opener Sunil Dhamala was out for just four runs while Lokesh bombed for only one run.

But Mohammed Daij Alam, along with Numan Khan, tried to handle the innings. Khan, who shared a 53-run stand for the third wicket, was out for 18. Then skipper Pradeep Ari also shared a 41-run stand.

Alam was out for 57. He hit five fours and three sixes in 48 balls. As long as sixth-ranked Puneet Mehra and Pradeep stayed in the crease, Biratnagar's hopes of winning remained. Both were playing big sorts.

Mehra, who shared a 47-run stand with Captain Ari, was left out of the fifth ball of the 18th over, while Chitwan's victory was only formal. Mehra (32) and Ari (36) were out.

Rohan and Anil's fifties
Chitwan, who had earlier lost the toss and invited to bat, had lost 20 wickets in 20 overs and made 202 runs. For him, Rohan Mustafa and Anil Kumar Sah made half centuries.

Mustafa shared a 36-run stand with captain Paras Khadka for the first wicket. Khadka was out for 25 runs. Babar Hathaway returned to the Pavilion in 5 runs. Anil, who came in fourth, shared a 95-run stand with Mustafa for the third wicket. Both came out in the same 50/50 run.

Arif Sheikh added 19 runs. Tick's score was 170 when he was out and only 11 balls left. Karan Casey pitched an offensive inning. He scored an unbeaten 26 off 8 balls with two boundaries and two sixes and Sunny Patel in 16.
